Debra Brigandi

Debra is married to Joseph Brigandi, a licensed professional counselor also working at the Texas Counseling Center, and together they have five grown children. With a background in human resources at Fortune 500 companies, Debra is now using her skills to provide individual and group counseling to children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of behavioral, emotional, and social challenges. She has a humanistic approach and uses a variety of techniques including solutions focused, cognitive behavioral, and existential therapies. She is presently working towards certification in Sandplay therapy. Debra’s specialties range from helping people with anxiety, depression, and coping with life changes brought on by death, divorce, job changes, or the many other things that can block us from reaching our full potential and discovering our true sources of strength and resulting happiness.

Professional Experience

With a background in human resources at Fortune 500 companies, Debra uses her skills to provide individual and group counseling to children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral, emotional, and social challenges. She has a humanistic approach drawing from a variety of techniques including solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and Jungian depth psychology. She is working towards certification in Sandplay therapy.

Debra's specialties range from helping people with anxiety, depression, adverse childhood experiences, trauma and PTSD. She helps clients navigate the various stages of life and to cope with changes brought about by job loss, death, or divorce. Clients learn to discover and develop inner sources of strength that can be used to facilitate the healing process while working towards their full potential and resulting happiness.
